Naming, Brand Identity & Design - A Marriott Tribute Hotel
In collaboration with Gaslight Studios.
The Brief
The Domestic lies within the hills of beautiful Morgan Hill, California. As a Holiday Inn, the owners wanted to take the hotel to another level and make it feel right at home within Morgan Hill - a spot that would feel more local. Becoming a Tribute Hotel under the Marriott name, the goal was to design an identity that would feel welcoming and promote guests to explore and adventure through the area.

Domestic Display
We developed a custom typeface for The Domestic to be used throughout the identity. A rustic utilitarian font that is uniquely on brand for the hotel.
Patterns
Hotel Bar: The Hub
The Hub
The Hub is the bar located within the hotel. We wanted The Hub to have its own distinct identity but also play off the identity of the hotel itself. With thick linework and distinct patterns, we brought in a rustic maroon to compliment the hotels deep blue and developed a full identity to go along with it.
